Yesterday, Valve revealed a brand new game, the Dota 2 themed card game Artifact, and it seems like this is only the beginning of a new wave of games coming from the developer of Half-Life.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is the third highest selling game in Steam's history, says Valve's Gabe Newell.

The announcement was made during a presentation for Artifact, where Gabe Newell said the reason that Valve had focused so long on Steam development and creating hardware solutions like the Steam controller and HTC Vive headset, was because it wanted to make an "investment in the future".

The announcement came as part of a presentation for Artifact, the "Dota 2" themed card game that drew fan ire past year when it was announced because it had the gall to not be "Half Life 3". Yes, back will - once again - start developing games, though this does not mean that they'll be working on Half-Life 3.

However, such sequel theories, especially that of Half-Life, have always been speculated without any developments or announcement to support it.

For years, Amazon has been taking steps to attract more customers and has focused efforts on targeting low-income Americans and millennials.

According to PC Gamer, Newell didn't state what games were coming out but confirmed 3 games are VR-based. Five years ago, we didn't have electrical engineers and people who know how to do robots.

Although this is the first confirmation we've had in some time that Valve was working on new software, we have had hints previously that something was in the works. "He can introduce new capabilities like motion input because he controls both of those things".

Furthermore, Newell expressed concerns about the direction that the PC games market was set in - saying that it was becoming more of a closed ecosystem. Creating a closed platform for PC is a bad thing, not just for Valve's business, but also for consumer freedom. "That's something we've been jealous of, and that's something you'll see us taking advantage of subsequently".

"And he can make the hardware look as good as possible because he's designing the software at the same time that's really going to take advantage of it".
