Iran pinpoints fabrication of chemical weapons use by Syria gov't

  • Israel warns Iran not to test its determination

Two F-15 aircraft from the Israeli air force delivered a strike against Syria's T-4 airfield with eight guided missiles on Monday, the Russian Defense Ministry said. Both Washington and Paris denied being behind the strike on Tayfur, which happened hours before an emergency United Nations meeting on Monday over the reported use of toxic gas - allegedly by the Syrian regime - on the town of Douma.

The agency said it was likely an act of "American aggression", however the Pentagon denied involvement.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump had promised a "big price to pay" for the suspected chemical attack on Douma.

It should be noted that Israel is "believed" to have carried out the attack, but has not acknowledged a role in the bombing of air base T4.

The Jewish state has carried out attacks in Syria, alleging that its longtime enemy Iran is building military bases there.

Sixers Beat Cavs, Take Over 3-seed in the East
James could only split the pair to make it 117-115, but with the Wizards out of timeouts, Wall drove and threw the ball away. All of that seems like an excellent recipe for a historic win that would give them half-a-game leeway over the Cavs .

The US launched several dozen Tomahawk cruise missiles at a Syrian air base a year ago after a chemical attack in the northern Syrian town of Khan Sheikhoun killed dozens of people.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu alluded to Israel's bombing of a Syrian airbase Monday, saying that Israel reserved the right to use preemptive strikes against threats to its security.

The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons "made a preliminary analysis of the reports of the alleged use of chemical weapons immediately after they were issued", said director general Ahmet Uzumcu. Given the heightened tensions between Russia and the United States on other issues, Russian President Vladimir Putin may seize on U.S. strikes as an opportunity to leverage a confrontation and force the United States to the negotiating table, said Vladimir Frolov. "Israel mitigates the risk of an Iranian response", he said.

The regime reportedly launches chemical attacks in Eastern Ghouta from the airbase. Area of atrocity is in lockdown and encircled by Syrian Army, making it completely inaccessible to outside world.

Senior Israeli defense officials expressed serious concerns over the implications of last week's summit in Ankara at which the leaders of Iran, Russia and Turkey discussed the aftermath of the Syrian civil war and how the spoils would be divided once the hostilities conclude.
