Money vanishes from hundreds of Ulster Bank accounts in the Republic

Yesterday Ulster Bank had been forced to offer emergency cash payments after another shambles meant funds have disappeared from the accounts of thousands of customers.
In others instances customers had their Ulster Bank credit and debit cards declined when making purchases.
Customers said when they checked their accounts online, their balances were not as they should be.
Ulster Bank has blamed yesterday's issues on "human error".
Hundreds of complaints from customers in the Republic of Ireland have been lodged, however, the bank claims nobody in Northern Ireland has been affected.
Ulster Bank says a glitch that left some customers unable to view their recent transactions has been fixed.
Ulster Bank says that all transactions impacted by the issue have now been applied.

TDs have called on Ulster Bank to explain why money has disappeared from some bank accounts. "It is every bank's responsibility to ensure that their IT systems are fit for goal".
This is not the first time that something like this has happened with Ulster Bank.
An urgent investigation is underway with IT staff working through the night to resolve the problems by Wednesday morning.

Some of the affected customers have reported discrepancies with their accounts, including cards being declined and cash missing from their accounts.
