Farquhar fainted in the dugout after pitching the sixth inning against the Astros.

The White Sox announced Saturday that additional testing revealed the brain hemorrhage was caused by a ruptured aneurysm. The 31 year old reliever had appeared in the top half of the inning.

White Sox medical staff and EMTs rushed to the dugout to administer aid, and they quickly got him to the hospital.

The team said Friday that Farquhar remained conscious during his transport to the hospital.

Now we know what happened to Chicago White Sox pitcher Danny Farquhar on Friday. He regained consciousness shortly after the incident and was taken to RUSH University Medical Center, where he's expected to continue treatment with Dr. Demetrius Lopez in the neurological ICU unit.
