  • Apple reportedly admits major bug in some iPhone 7 and 7 Plus models

According to an internal document obtained by MacRumors, the service providers will now be able to replace the iPhone X units with a new one, given the damaged ones are crippled with the Face ID issue.

The Face ID issue doesn't appear to be widespread, but if you're experiencing any problems, you should have your device checked.

In a memo to Apple Authorized Service Providers, Apple said that service providers at Genius Bars should attempt to fix the issue even if the phone brought in is "no longer covered by warranty".

The tech giant reportedly has sent a support document to retailers and authorised service centres addressing this issue. In the past, users have come forward linking failures of Face ID and the rear camera. With that said, given that the iPhone X is still well under a year old, getting a repair/replacement for a malfunctioning Face ID shouldn't be a problem for customers. for now. The outlet will have to run diagnostics, identify the issue, and then perform a fix.

Moon to visit Washington ahead of Trump-Kim meeting
Moon's office said news that the White House was considering drawing down troops was "not true at all". Accordingly, the two Koreas removed their propaganda loudspeakers this week.

On the affected iPhones 7 and 7 Plus, the speaker symbol remains grey during a call and can not be selected. According to document, if the issue is still there, the whole unit should be replaced.

If you're experiencing this difficulty and your device in no longer under warranty, Apple say its service providers can request an exemption for a free fix. And in addition, the consumer experienced several special issues that comprise "Pano, slow-mo, and time-lapse function for the back camera but what else doesn't".

It's not even clear what the link is between the rear dual lenses and Face ID. An affected unit is reported to prompt the message, "Face ID is not available, try again later". "My front facing camera works fine but the rear is messed up, which leads me to that conclusion". Explaining the complexity of the iPhone X setup, a Genius Bar technician explained to an iPhone X user on how the rear camera and Face ID's True Depth camera are connected.
