John Goodman Reacts To 'Roseanne' Cancellation

  • Ambien Maker Sanofi to Roseanne Barr: No, Our Sleeping Pill Doesn't Cause Racism

The response came after a slew of other comments from the comedian in which her tone ranged from expressing regret and fury over the show's cancelation, which was prompted after she referred to Obama-era adviser Valerie Jarrett as a mix between "the Muslim brotherhood" and "planet of the apes".

What ABC may miss out on most in Roseanne'sabsence though, are advertising dollars.

2012 Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain said ABC had "been looking for a reason to cancel Roseanne".

She also sent a message directly to Jarret, offering her apology.

Following the initial fallout of her racist tweet, Roseanne co-stars Sara Gilbert, who played Darlene and heralded the new iteration of the show to the air, and Michael Fishman, who played DJ, denounced Barr's actions.

Barr originally said she did something "unforgivable", "egregious" and "indefensible", before suggesting the tweets were a result of taking sleeping pills.

Donald Trump weighed in on the Roseanne Barr controversy by knocking Walt Disney Co.

That "joke" caused ABC to cancel Barr's show in record time, leaving her out of a job before the close of business Tuesday.

Petrol prices rise for 13th straight day; nearly Rs 86 in Mumbai
The petrol price was seen at Rs 74.80 per litre, the highest since September 2013, and diesel was seen at Rs 66.14 per litre. The price of petrol in Kolkata is Rs 81.06/litre and Rs 81.43/litre in Chennai, according to Indian Oil Corporation .

From Channing Dungey, President of ABC Entertainment: "Roseanne's Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have made a decision to cancel her show".

The drug maker Sanofi took to social media to say that "while all pharmaceutical treatments have side effects, racism is not a known side effect of any Sanofi medication".

In retweets, Barr supports a conspiracy theory that the world is controlled by a deep state cabal of Democrats, celebrities, and intelligence agency officials, many of who are pedophiles, that Trump has secretly been going after, worldwide.

And the American star - whose sitcom returned to TV screens in March following a 21-year hiatus - has thanked her followers for their "kind words". It was fairly demeaning when he'd gone there to ask her to sign papers.

"I feel devastated, not for the end of the Roseanne show, but for all those who poured their hearts and souls into our jobs, and the audience that welcomed us into their homes". "She blows up her own life and that of all those around her".

As for how he's doing, Goodman said: "Everything's fine".

"A lot of comics say awful things", Harbert said. Joy Behar, Joy Reid and Jimmy Kimmel make racist comments, constantly attack this administration for their beliefs in god and yet they still have a platform with no recourse.

"Roseanne's a racist idiot", John says.
