  • Trump pardons Dinesh D’Souza, conservative agitator who pleaded guilty to campaign finance fraud

President Trump has pardoned conservative commentator Dinesh D'Souza, who pleaded guilty in 2014 to making illegal campaign contributions in other people's names.

Mr. D'Souza, who has written several books, thanked Mr. Trump for the pardon. Stone has claimed that the counsel is investigating his personal life and business affairs because he has no evidence of collusion.

"This kind of legal bludgeoning tactic is used not only against the guilty, but against the innocent", he said, explaining that the pardon will give him back his right to vote.

Mueller in recent weeks has issued subpoenas to two of Stone's associates.

D'Souza pleaded guilty in 2014 to making an illegal campaign contribution to NY politician Wendy Long's 2012 Senate campaign, allegedly going over the contribution limit by directing other donors to give to her and repaying them.

"I think to a certain extent Martha Stewart was harshly and unfairly treated", Trump told reporters.

"In light of these facts, the President has determined that Mr. D'Souza is fully worthy of this pardon".

The federal prosecutor who oversaw Stewart's case in NY was James Comey, one of Trump's principal antagonists and the man he fired as FBI director a year ago.

D'Souza also spoke out on Twitter Thursday when President Trump made the announcement about his pardon.

Blagojevich was facing charges when he was on Trump's reality TV show, "Celebrity Apprentice", in 2010.

Savage Lines From Drake and Pusha T's Current Diss Track War
Allegedly, his new line on Adidas, is called Adidon, which is named after Adonis , his son", Pusha told the Breakfast Club . Team Drizzy had no idea how to deal with this lashing since Drake bodied Meek Mill the last time this happened.

The president added that it was "stupid" for Blagojevich to have said what he did regarding selling off former President Barack Obama's vacated U.S. Senate seat in 2008, but that the sentence Blagojevich is now serving was too harsh.

The conservative D'Souza gained notoriety for his anti-Obama stance that was the basis of his 2012 documentary 2016: Obama's America.

"Trump's action sends yet another risky signal that he will abuse his power to protect those who would subvert the rule of law, including the laws that protect the integrity of our democracy from corruption", Flynn said.

President Donald Trump speaks to the media before boarding Air Force One for a trip to Texas to meet with families of the Santa Fe school shooting victims, and to attend Republican fundraisers, Thursday, May 31, 2018, in Andrews Air Force Base, Md.

Trump echoed D'Souza's claims that federal prosecutors and the Obama administration treated him unfairly.

D'Souza is a former policy analyst under President Ronald Reagan and a prolific author well-known for works critical of Obama, as well as Hillary Clinton, Trump's Democratic rival in the 2016 presidential election.

Both cases prompted critics to accuse Mr Trump of abusing his pardoning power.

Mr. D'Souza slammed Bharara in an radio interview too. The move follows Trump's high-profile pardon of former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, an anti-immigrant activist who was convicted for criminal contempt of court for refusing to stop alleged practices targeting Latino drivers and undocumented immigrants.

Also pardoned was former White House aide I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby.

"The president's ad hoc use of the pardon power is concerning enough".
