Over 50 cars destroyed in horrific gas tanker explosion on Nigerian expressway

President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed shock and sorrow over Thursday's fire incident in Lagos where many people are feared killed with several vehicles burnt.
Speaking on the incident, LASEMA General Manager, Mr. Adesina Tiamiyu said when they got to the scene of the incident after being alerted, it was discovered that a Mack tanker truck loaded with 33 litres of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) fell and spilled its content on the road, which resulted into a huge fire.
He expressed his deepest condolences to the government and people of Lagos on this tragedy.
The tanker was said to be heading towards Berger, outwards Lagos, when the incident occurred. Our thoughts and prayers are with them in this time of pain and grief.
"This is the worst we have experienced on this road".

House of Assembly Speaker Mudashiru Obasa also condoled with the families of the victims.
A petrol tanker has caught fire in Nigeria's biggest city, Lagos, killing at least nine people, officials say.
