  • U.S. President Donald Trump and First lady Melania Trump board Marine One on the South Lawn of the White House

On Saturday, Trump supporters will rally near the U.S. embassy in Nine Elms, south London, for an event titled "Welcoming Trump to Britain Rally - Make Britain Great Again", at which a number of right-wing figures are scheduled to speak.

"At no point did president Trump, neither in bilateral meetings nor in multilateral ones, say he would pull out of Nato", Macron said.

During Mr Trump's trip he will meet the Queen and Prime Minister Theresa May as he visits locations including Blenheim Palace, Chequers, Windsor Castle, the United States ambassador's official residence in Regent's Park, London, and Scotland.

All of these incidents added pressure on May to revoke her invitation to Trump.

The Marine One helicopter carrying US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump flies past the BT Tower before landing at Winfield House, the London residence of US ambassador Woody Johnson.

Trump attended a black-tie dinner at Blenheim Palace with May on Thursday evening, where the TV network ITV reports May planned to pitch the president on a free-trade agreement between the United Kingdom and the USA after Brexit.

When asked about the ongoing negotiations between May's government and the European Union over the terms of their divorce, Trump told The Sun: "I would have done it much differently".

"I have a lot of respect for Boris".

Trump told the newspaper he had advised May on how to conduct Brexit negotiations, "but she didn't listen to me".

Remaining signatories reaffirm commitment to Iran nuclear deal
Several major firms - including France's Total and Peugeot, and Russia's Lukoil - have said they are preparing to leave. My mandate is crystal clear: Forge practical solutions.

"I would love to say that I think this is going to be a hugely successful visit but I think it's going to be very hard", he said at a pro-Trump gathering in parliament.

Despite not being an official state visit, the Government is desperate to ensure the USA leader feels he is being treated with the appropriate level of pomp and ceremony.

Later, Mr and Mrs Trump will attend a black-tie dinner at Blenheim Place - the birthplace of Winston Churchill - in Oxfordshire, hosted by Theresa May.

The president renewed his feud with Khan with a series of heavyhanded comments aimed at Johnson's successor as London mayor, trying to blame him for the spate of fatal terror attacks in the capital previous year at Westminster, London Bridge and outside Finsbury Park mosque.

Mr Trump will then travel to Windsor Castle to meet the Queen before heading to Scotland for a private part of the four-day visit, ahead of travelling to Helsinki for a summit with Russian president Vladimir Putin.

"The people voted to break it up, so I imagine that is what they would do, but maybe they [May's plans] are taking a different route". The EU better be careful. "But when they make you feel unwelcome, why would I stay there?"

A large "Human Rights Nightmare" banner has been unfurled by Amnesty International activists across the river Thames on Vauxhall Bridge to protest against the visit. "I'd like to see them be able to work it out so it could go quickly, whatever they work out".

Protests will culminate in a 70,000-strong march through London from Portland Place to Trafalgar Square. In fact, during past visits, both Barack Obama and George W. Bush spent a night at Buckingham Palace, and although the latter also did not receive a warm reception in London, he nonetheless made sure to make several stops during a 2003 visit.
