‘I like Mike!’: Trump disses LeBron James

  • LeBron James speaks at the opening ceremony for the I Promise School

As was noted on Twitter Saturday morning, Lemon and James are two successful and respected African-American men who have risen in their respective careers. He added the hashtag #BeBest, a reference to an initiative by the first lady, Melania Trump, that aims to help children. James, who signed with La Lakers in a four year, $154 million deal, last month, in an interview with Lemon, said that the President is using sports to divide people in the country.

On a separate airing of "CNN Tonight", Lemon said that Trump's presidency "can be defined by lies".

Following his eighth straight appearance in the NBA Finals, James said he was still in "championship mode" as he headed into free agency.

Indeed, this week's exchange is just the latest in a long-running feud between James and the president. James wrote on Twitter. So therefore ain't no invite.

He was responding to remarks by then-Cavs star James and Warriors ace Stephen Curry, who both said they would not attend a White House reception.

Throughout the new interview, King James doesn't hold back on discussing his personal issues with Trump.

Local dog goes viral after doing ‘In My Feelings’ challenge
The violators are likely to be booked under charges of unsafe driving under the The Motor Vehicles Act, he added. The Gujarat Police on Tuesday warned taking up the Kiki challenge may land one in a hospital bed or behind bars.

James' tweet is especially relevant because the CNN interview Trump was referencing when he disparaged James and Lemon was specifically about LeBron's new school. And that's something that I can't relate to, because I know that sport was the first time I ever was around someone white. "I couldn't let that happen".

Lemon asked James if he would run for president in 2020 if there was no one else nominated who could beat Donald Trump.

"He doesn't understand how many kids, no matter the race, look up to the president of the United States for guidance, for leadership, for words of encouragement". It's a disgrace. It's racist. And it's the product of petty but risky hatreds. "I repeat this is the PRESIDENT??!?"

Active players from around the National Basketball Association also made their feelings known via Twitter, some even postured themselves antithetically.

The tweet from Mr. Trump's official account ended by saying "I like Mike!"

In the insanely long list of Kobe Bryant highlight videos, this one gets played as much as nearly any: A 2010 regular season game against Orlando when Matt Barnes is inbounding the ball, does a ball-fake inches from Kobe's face, and Bryant doesn't flinch. LeBron should be commended this week for his actions, not insulted.
