Google's mailing app 'Inbox' to discontinue from March 2019

Gmail is one of Google's biggest and most beloved products, but that didn't stop the company from trying something new back in 2014 with the launch of Inbox.
Inbox began as an email experiment almost four years ago for Google.
A few features aren't coming over, however, including pinned emails, reminders, and bundles.
When Gmail launched, it made us think about email in new ways by creating threaded conversations.
In a Wednesday blog post, Google said it plans to shut down the email product at the end of March 2019 "to focus exclusively on Gmail". You could just use the pre-loaded labels like updates, purchases, trips, and so on, but Inbox supported custom labels as well. But after the company brought over most of the app's various features to the redesign Gmail, many questioned the client's future.
Over the years features from Inbox have migrated over to Gmail including smart reply and most recently snoozing. In fact, most of its best features have, including Unified Inbox.
Mark today down as the day Google got to announce it's killing the Inbox.
The service - which came in the form of iOS and Android apps and its own website - funneled mails from your Gmail account to a different, slightly more gesture-driven interface with its own unique set of options. Having about six months of warning will give Inbox fans a chance to get their personal workflow going in Gmail, but it'll probably never be the same. Instead, Inbox was meant to provide Google with an active platform that would allow them to test new features in real-time.
