"I don't know that he ever gave me any advice, but he obviously had a great time making these", Jude Law said.

In the comics, Mar-Vell is responsible for Carol Danvers getting her powers, but what they do in the MCU remains to be seen.

Following its Captain Marvel cover story, Entertainment Weekly published an interview with Feige where it discusses how the studio plans to approach female-led Marvel movies.

But why did the actress, who is known mostly for dramatic works like Room, decide that she wanted to join the MCU as Captain Marvel?

I am happy to report it is finally here - our first look at Brie Larson as "Captain Marvel".

MARVEL STUDIOS and Entertainment Weekly teamed up Wednesday to begin unfurling promotional teases for next year's "Captain Marvel" - hey there, Brie Larson - and it prompted fans to inspect the morsels like catnip. That allows the film to introduce younger version of familiar Marvel faces - like Jackson's Nick Fury, who's still a two-eyed S.H.I.E.L.D. desk jockey - as well as let Carol carve out her own, unique space in the MCU.

Nadal 'bagelled' but survives Thiem test to reach semis
This rematch of the French Open final in June, won by Nadal , was his first match against a top-20 opponent at the U.S. Asked about that at his news conference, Thiem said with a chuckle: "Well, I don't think he's really sorry".

"She can't help but be herself", Larson tells EW.

"This is not a superhero who's ideal or otherworldly or has some godlike connection", says Boden, who's the MCU's first female director.

Captain Marvel hits theatres on March 9, 2019. "But at her core, she has so much heart and so much humanity - and all of its messiness".

Captain Marvel has a March 8, 2019 release directed by the writing/directing team of Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck and stars Academy Award victor Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, McKenna Grace, with Clark Gregg, and Jude Law.

An earlier photo of Larson in costume from the Captain Marvel set was released a few months ago featured only the green, black and silver costume.

Captain Marvel is set up to play an important role in next spring's yet-to-be-title fourth Avengers film.
