A new report in Bloomberg has some juicy details about Netflix's "Black Mirror" Season 5, which started production earlier this year. The Shrek spinoff Puss in Book allowed the viewer to make several choices for the titular Puss in Boots, including whether he visited Sinbad or Snow White, and whether Goldilocks' three bears were friendly or antagonistic.

Last year, Netflix tested a new type of content that it called "interactive series" that began with three kid-friendly shows (Puss in Book: Trapped in an Epic Tale, Buddy Thunderstruck: The Maybe Pile and Stretch Armstrong: The Breakout) wherein the audience controlled the outcome of the story. But now, you're going to be able to choose your very own ending for a new Black Mirror episode.

Per Bloomberg, Black Mirror's fifth season is expected to drop in December. All 19 current episodes of the anthology series are now streaming. Season four, which premiered a year ago, starred Rosemarie Dewitt, Jesse Plemmons, Cristin Milioti, Jimmi Simpson, Andrea Riseborough, Letitia Wright, and Maxine Peake. You monster, you. Considering Brooker is such a fan of video games, the prospect of him writing an interactive piece of fiction is a tantalising one.

Sturridge's Stunning Goal Leaves Rüdiger Lost For Words
This was Sturridge's third goal in three games, and it is becoming increasingly hard for Jurgen Klopp not to start him. But having scored 44 goals in all competitions last season, Salah has a mountain to climb if he is to do that again.

Netflix will also be "developing a slate of specials" with the same model, the outlet notes, in either a TV episode or movie.

Given its sci-fi and anthological nature, Black Mirror pretty much the ideal test dummy, as each episode stands alone, with each utilizing a completely different setting, cast of characters, and overall style and structure. Will adult viewers be ready to indulge in the choose-your-own-adventure storylines, or will they choose to watch what is given to them without participation?

Forward-looking: If successful, interactive storytelling could take the industry in a whole new direction. At this point we don't really know how exactly the interactivity will work, but both publications reported that it will be a sort of choose-your-own-adventure thing.
