"The fact that she's been able to do it so many times consecutively just speaks volumes for the management of her, but I just - what can I say?"

"Everyone who looks after that horse should be very proud".

It was also the seven-year-old's 29th successive victory and she is now undefeated in three years, having last failed to cross the finishing line first back in April 2015 at Randwick.

"We will all sit down and talk about her future in a few weeks, " Waller said.

"I don't think I need to say anything".

That might be the case, but this time around she beat a high-quality European challenger who was at the top of his game, who was racing over his ideal distance and had been given every chance by his rider, Oisin Murphy.

Turkey 'shares all evidence' with Central Intelligence Agency chief relating to Khashoggi killing
Dozens of government and business leaders have pulled out, but Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman appeared at the event on Tuesday. Saudi state oil giant Saudi Aramco said it signed deals with 15 worldwide partners worth more than $34bn.

The mighty mare smashed legendary sprinter Black Caviar's Australian win record in August when she made it 26 in a row at a race named in her honour.

"This has been 12 months in the making, so it is a relief just to get to this day, " Waller said.

"We would give everyone an indication of that race early on but as I have said for a while it is one run at a time and we just want to make sure everything is right with her".

He admits the challenge of the tight turning Moonee Valley track is a concern.

"He's been a lovely sound horse and never had a problem so it wasn't a great race for the stable". If we did we would see stronger racing but the reality is they just can't continue racing because they are so valuable.

She is a champion, still gracing the turf at an age when many comparable racemares have had one or two foals and are long consigned to the breeding barn.

"We will check her tendons, her joints, bones, bone density, you name it".
