  • Rapper Mac Miller died of accidental overdose of fentanyl cocaine and alcohol

Rapper Mac Miller died from a mix of the powerful opioid fentanyl, cocaine and alcohol, the Los Angeles medical examiner announced Monday. The coroner ruled that the overdose caused by "mixed drug toxicity" was accidental.

The 26-year-old rapper died in September after being discovered unresponsive in his Studio City home.

The report also found that he had alcohol in his system. It was described as an accidental overdose. He was found by his assistant in a "praying position", kneeling forward with his face on his knees.

There was a 1/4-inch abrasion on the bridge of his nose, and there was blood coming out of one nostril. According to the report, "a white powdery substance, non-prescribed medication, prescription medication, and a rolled 20 dollar bill with white powder residue were collected from the scene and booked into evidence".
