Border Patrol agents frequently capture violent criminal aliens as they attempt to illegally enter the U.S. In late October, agents assigned to the Rio Grande Valley Sector apprehended a Salvadoran national who illegally crossed the border with his minor son.

Thousands of migrants who traveled via a caravan members want to seek asylum in the US but may have to wait months because the USA government only processes about 100 of those cases a day at the San Ysidro border crossing in San Diego.

Events leading to the arrest of the Honduran suspect began around 9:30 p.m.in an area about four miles west of San Ysidro, and about 400 yards north of the barrier between the US and Mexico, according to the federal criminal complaint.

One of the men was from Honduras and the other from El Salvador, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office, which alleged that one man elbowed an agent and the other tried unsuccessfully to punch another agent.

All three men were taken into custody with Department of Homeland Security pending deportation proceedings.

The caravan's size is highly unusual - there are more than 6,000 people waiting at the border with Tijuana, Mexico, and the Trump administration has conveyed an image of the group as rife with criminals.

Earlier in the day, streams of migrants laden with heavy backpacks, tents and blankets, much of it soaking wet, loaded buses leaving their original migrants shelter within sight of the border. "DHS will not tolerate illegal or forcible entry into our country", Houlton said in the statement.

Saudi Crown Prince Visiting Arab Allies
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is encountering something in Tunisia that he doesn't see often: public anger. Some critics have likened the Tunisian Ennahda party to the Muslim Brotherhood, which is banned in Saudi Arabia.

Approximately 7,000 migrants remain on the Mexican side of the border demanding to be let into the United States.

That wait could take months, a fact that has Tijuana Mayor Juan Manuel Gastélum anxious that the caravan's presence is creating both health hazards and a financial crisis for his city.

Thousands of caravan members have been arriving in recent week - almost 6,000 people have been staying at a sports complex in Tijuana packed into a space adequate for half that many people. A six-hour period during which USA officials were forced to close the border crossing cost his city $129 million pesos.

"I'm not going to break public services to solve this problem", Gastélum told Fox News.

"There are people who only think about themselves, they don't think about the mothers with kids, they think about nothing". There are also at least three confirmed cases of tuberculosis, four cases of HIV/AIDS, and four cases of chickenpox, a spokesperson with the health department told Fox News.
