‘Escape room’ game turns deadly: 5 killed & 1 injured in Poland fire

Escape rooms, a party attraction in which users are locked in a room and must answer puzzles and complete tasks to get out, are extremely popular among young people in Poland. Prosecutors said that carbon monoxide inhalation was the likely cause of the deaths.

Gasiorowski said the fire probably broke out in the reception room and blocked the employee's way to evacuate the girls.

He said firefighters who put out the blaze and other witnesses were being questioned.
