In two hours and 13 minutes, the former world No.1 came from a set down to win 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 over her rival, who was playing her first career Brisbane final, reports Efe.

"Like if I'm being really frank, I just feel like I had the worst attitude today", the 21-year-old world No.4 said.

"I felt like I have control about everything I am doing", said Pliskova, who won here in 2017.

A champion in Brisbane two years ago, Pliskova boasts the third-best winning percentage in the Brisbane tournament's history with 12 wins and just two losses.

Teenage qualifier Bianca Andreescu is into her maiden final after stunning No. 3 seed Su-wei Hsieh 6-3, 6-3 on Saturday in Auckland, New Zealand.

"I don't know, maybe she raised her level so much that I was not ready for that".

That advantage was enough for Tsurenko to serve out the opener and a similar pattern soon emerged in the second, with Pliskova broken swiftly and then suffering a further setback just as she had come back into the contest at 2-2.

How seriously should Jurgen Klopp take Wolves in the FA Cup?
Sergio Aguero has feasted on Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium and once again the Reds had no answer to City's lethal finisher. Guardiola said: "Losing to Liverpool we would have been nearly out and we played knowing we were in or we were out".

"Rennae helped me quite a bit", she said.

Nishikori served only two aces compared with the 11 sent down by Chardy, but he returned superbly and pressured the Frenchman's serve throughout, breaking him twice in each set.

Nishikori also moved around the court well, his speed not noticeably affected by the injuries that hampered him previous year.

"This helpless feeling I have, I think today I learned sort of what I have to do to not fix it, but what I can do to like improve the situation".

"Everything was working well today", Nishikori said.

"I don't want to say that this was my best tennis, but it was quite a high level", Tsurenko said.

The run of games for Pliskova reached five before a key moment early in the decider, when the Ukrainian rolled her ankle in the second game of the final set and required a mid-game medical timeout before continuing. "I felt like I was too fast on the court today (Saturday)..."
