Kawhi Leonard blames media for Spurs fans booing him

  • Lessons De Mar DeRozan learned in Toronto are yielding dividends on and off the court in San Antonio

Kawhi Leonard and former coach Gregg Popovich hugged and had a long discussion after the Spurs' 125-107 win over the Raptors on Thursday.

Mills said he has remained in contact with both Leonard and Green, but sees the matchup against the Raptors as simply another game against a talented opponent.

This season, Leonard is averaging 27.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game while shooting 49.7 percent from the field and 36.1 percent from deep.

However Spurs coach Popovich was in no mood to revisit the circumstances of Leonard's departure on Wednesday.

"One of the reasons is you guys will interpret it whatever way you want anyway". The Raptors were in a truly hostile environment playing a very good team and, yes, it was one game out of 82 but it might prepare them for what awaits.

"Take the "fan" hat off for once and put the "player" hat on and see if you will still boo a player".

Aaron Rodgers Evaluated for Concussion, Exits Packers vs. Lions
Per multiple sources, former Colts and Lions coach Jim Caldwell has interviewed for the coaching vacancy in Green Bay . His most recent head coaching duties came with the Detroit Lions from 2014-17, leading the team to the playoffs twice.

The nine-year Raptors legend who cemented himself as a fan favourite during his tenure in Toronto waited for his first ever game against his former squad to post his first career triple-double, overshadowing the returns of two players who helped lead the Spurs to their most recent National Basketball Association title.

Back in San Antonio for the first time since being traded to the Raptors, Kawhi Leonard was heckled relentlessly from the moment he stepped on the court. "If I can just get some popcorn and watch it, I would, but I might have to play". What was interestingly noticeable about the video was how the Spurs broke up highlight clips of Leonard and Green, so that the fans couldn't boo throughout the entire segment.

Later in the Q, DeRozan got his isolation game firing as he finished off this lovely sequence with a moonshot floater over former teammate and good friend Serge Ibaka. "I wasn't on the end kind of how (DeRozan's trade) went down".

"It really wasn't [anything]", DeRozan told ESPN.

"We didn't do a good job in transition, defense", Leonard said.

"I think he has something to prove all year, not just there", Green said.
