An Unexpected Twist Of Fate: A Stranger In The Elevator, Part 2

As I let my mystery man in, I was still in shock that this gorgeous man was living in my building and standing here in my apartment. Daisy came straight to greet him with excitement. That was obviously a good sign. She’s not that friendly at first with strangers. As he walked beside me, I noticed that he was even taller than I thought, at least 6’2″, maybe 3″. Since I am 5’5″, this was really tall for me.

He had that kind of presence that you can’t forget. The kind of man that, when he enters a room, everybody stops talking and stares at.

“Can I offer you a glass of wine? Or would you rather something else?” I asked him with a smile. He was petting Daisy and looked up to answer.

“What you’re drinking will be fine!” he answered. “What’s her name?” he asked me.

“Daisy” I answered. “Would you follow me to the kitchen?” I went to the fridge and took out the wine and I took another glass from the cupboard.

I was a bit nervous, so I spilled a few drops while filling up his glass. ” Sorry, ” I said with a nervous laugh while wiping the mess. He put his hand on mine and said, “No problem” His hand was very warm and comforting. I looked up at him and our eyes met. We looked into each other’s eyes for a few seconds. It seemed like an eternity.

I finally looked away with embarrassment. Again, I laughed nervously and he looked very amused of my nervousness. ” So, you just moved into the building?” I asked him, wanting to break the silence.

“Yeah, I moved in yesterday!” He responded. He was looking at me with a crooked smile like he did today by the elevator. He looked very amused like I was saying something very funny. “And you? How long have you lived here?”

“Five years now!” I said, looking at his broad shoulders. I have always loved broad shoulders and muscular arms, just like his. “I moved here from Quebec city five years ago. As a matter of fact, since I started working at the agency. And you, where do you come from?”

We were still in the kitchen, leaning against the counter, facing each other. He approached me a little bit more. I was smelling his aftershave, it smelled really nice, light and breezy. He said in his low sexy voice, “I am actually from Toronto, but I lived in the United States for a few years. I came back because I had an offer to come and work at the firm. As I told you this afternoon, I started today.

The chemistry between us was pretty obvious. I was beginning to get hot and I tried everything in my power to hide it, but I was slowly losing control. “Do you want to go sit in the living room?”

“Ok” he said. So we went to sit on the couch, with Daisy following us. She seems to have taken Dave in affection. She suddenly jumped in his lap. ” I’m really sorry.” I said, taking Daisy and putting her on the floor. “She loves people, especially men.”

“No problem, I love dogs and she is such a cute little thing.” he answered. I smiled, looking at Daisy. “She’s such a good companion. I really love her.” I responded.

My couch isn’t that big, so Dave was really close to me. I could feel his knee against mine and it was very exciting. So far, he was a perfect gentleman, but I was sensing that he was discreetly looking at me. Actually, I was doing the same thing and the tension between us was increasingly building up. We were trying to make conversation, but we had other things in mind.

Dave was a truly fascinating man and I had felt his magnetism when we first met this morning. I desperately wanted him to kiss me, but I couldn’t believe that I was that bold since we had just met today. I wasn’t usually like this, but I couldn’t help myself.

As if he had heard my thoughts, Dave leaned over to me and slowly put his lips on mine. At first, he just brushed them against mine and I let out a faint moan. Encouraged by my reaction, he pushed my lips apart with his and kissed me passionately.

Our tongues played with each other as if they were following a choreography. As he began to caress my body, he moved closer to me. We fell over on the couch and we kept on kissing and caressing each other.

He suddenly stopped and looked at me intensely. “Are you sure that’s what you want?” he asked softly. “Yes,” I responded in a whisper and he kissed me again. While kissing me, Dave unbuttoned my shirt and then, he removed his. I ran my hands across his muscular chest and he began fondling my breasts. I could feel his manhood against me and it excited me even more.

We started unbuttoning each other’s pants, giggling like teenagers. Finally, the pants were down on the floor and Dave lifted me up in his arms. He looked at me with a tint of amusement in his eyes and asked “Euh… Where’s the bedroom?” I started laughing and showed him the way. Dave carried me to the bedroom and pushed the door shut. “Sorry, Daisy” he said to my dog. She barked a little as he closed the door.

We woke up the next morning to the sound of loud knocks on my apartment door. Still half asleep, I looked at the alarm clock. It was only 8:00 a.m. and we had fallen asleep not long ago. I wrapped myself in a bathrobe and I headed for the door.

“What’s going on?” Dave asked me in a sleepy voice. My God, he was really sexy like this, naked and with tangled hair.

“Don’t move.” I said to him and then I gave him a passionate kiss. “I’ll be right back.”

“Who is it?” I yelled through the front door.

“Ma’am, this is the police. Could we ask you a couple of questions?” a man yelled back.

I unlocked the door and open it to see two police officers standing on my doorstep. “Sorry ma’am, but we have reasons to believe that a fugitive is roaming around the neighborhood. Here is a picture of the man in question. One of the officers handed me a picture and I almost fainted in despair, but I remained stoic. This was the picture of the man lying in my bed. “Did you see him?”

“Sorry officer, but I didn’t see him.” I don’t know what came over me, but something was telling me to trust Dave. “If I see him, I will notify the authorities at once.”

“Thank you for your time and sorry to have bothered you.” said one of the police officers while touching his hat to say goodbye. “Please, don’t hesitate to contact us if you see him.” They turned around and went away.

As I was closing the door, I couldn’t believe what just happened. My head was spinning! What was really going on? Who was that man lying in my bed? Could I have been that stupid and credible? I was usually a pretty good judge of character, but maybe this time, my instincts were completely off. More importantly, what did I get myself into? One thing was sure, I would find out the truth one way or another!

I opened the bedroom door and headed toward the bed…

To be continued…
