We all enjoy a good cup of coffee in the morning or any time of the day for that matter but did you ever think about the way this awesome hot brew makes its way to you? Well, the team at BizBrain has!

Coffee, that wonderful brew

With over 2.25 billion coffee cups drank every day in the world, this hot beverage is the most popular of all caffeinated drinks. Nowadays, there are coffee shops on every street corner, so it is safe to say that coffee is very accessible.

And that’s why so many people are addicted to caffeine. I can honestly say that I am one of them. I don’t drink that many cups a day, but I need at least two cups to get my daily dose of caffeine.

The elaborate process of making coffee

To obtain the final product that we know so well, several steps have to be carefully followed. There are 11 steps to go through before being able to enjoy precious your coffee and here they are:

  • Planting seeds
  • Growing conditions
  • Harvesting
  • Processing the cherries
  • Milling
  • Exporting
  • Inspecting
  • Roasting
  • Grinding
  • Brewing
  • And finally enjoying!

All the steps are crucial to obtaining the most delicious coffee ever. The coffee tree’s fruit is called a “cherry” and has to be harvested as soon as it turns deep red. They can be either hand-picked or strip picked by machines.

Coffee beans only grow on the Bean Belt, a band around the equator that is formed of tropical regions. This corridor is made of the best regions in the world to grow coffee beans. It includes Central and South America, Africa, the Middle East as well as Asia.

    1. Hey girl,

I used to drink a LOT of coffee, but now I am down to two to three cups a day. When I’m at home, I only drink one cup, but at work I drink more. That’s my fuel for the day. I think you said once that you are a Coke fan. 😉

Thanks for sharing, hun! Happy Hump Day to you too! 🙂
