An Unexpected Twist Of Fate: A Stranger In The Elevator, Part 3

As I entered the bedroom, my head full of questions, I looked at the man laying in my bed. He was remarkably sexy with his hair all messed up and with only a bed sheet covering his body. I thought back of our night together and felt a flash of desire going down my spine. My resolutions of asking him my questions began to melt down. “No, I must be strong and ask him what was going on!” I thought.

“Who was it at the door, darling?” Dave asked me while taking my hand and pulling me to him. He began opening my bathrobe, but I stopped him immediately. He gazed at me, looking puzzled.

“Dave, we have to talk!” I said to him firmly. I wasn’t as sure of myself as I appeared to be, but I had to know the truth.  “Are you in some kind of trouble?”

“Why do you ask?” His expression became very dark, and he suddenly pulled away from me. To tell the truth, I was beginning to get nervous. After all, before yesterday I didn’t even know him.

Even though I was starting to get a little bit scared, I kept on talking. “Well you see, that was two police officers at the door, and they showed me a picture of a fugitive. The man in the photograph looked terribly like you.” I was looking at Dave’s face intensely.

My mystery man was getting more mysterious by the minute. He got out of bed and started to put his pants on. He was staring at the floor, as though he was ashamed and sad at the same time. “The two officers were right! I am a fugitive!”

I was gasping for air as if I was drowning. Maybe I was asleep and having a horrible nightmare. Maybe I will wake up soon, with Dave peacefully sleeping beside me. I closed and opened my eyes a few times and saw with disappointment that I wasn’t dreaming. I was truly awake.

I went around the bed to where he was sitting and started to shout. I couldn’t control myself. I was acting like a crazy person, but I just couldn’t help it. “What do you mean, who are you really? What kind of criminal are you?

He took my wrists in his big strong hands to stop me from hitting him. I was so furious, I just wanted to hurt him, but he was much stronger than me, and he overpowered me easily. He pinned my arms to the wall and looked into my eyes. “What’s the matter with you? Are you insane?

Dave was so handsome and smelled so good that my anger vanished instantly. I was beginning to feel horny again, standing so close to him and was suddenly forgetting why I was so mad at him. I was feeling his manhood against me, and he was unquestionably feeling the same thing as I did.

“You’re hurting me!” I said in a small, not very convincing voice. I tried to get away, but I clearly wasn’t going to win. He looked into my eyes and said a husky voice. “God Veronica, you drive me crazy!” Then he kissed me passionately. He abruptly reopened my bathrobe and then began caressing my breasts. I let out a faint moan as I started to unbutton his pants.

I helped him take them off, and we fell on the floor, naked, not even bothering to get on the bed. I never experienced such raw passion for another man. It totally controlled me. My mind was suddenly blank, I couldn’t think. The only thing I wanted with having Dave inside me.

After we had come to our senses, I was laying next to him my head on his chest, thinking about what happened since yesterday. My life was so simple then. It was about to change, and I didn’t know it yet. We still didn’t talk about what was going on, and I knew that I had to make the first move.

“Dave? Could we talk about what happened this morning?” I said softly.

He looked at me with his adorable crooked smile. “You want to go at it again? I’m game!”

“No, Dave.” I responded. “Please be serious, you have to tell me the truth.”

“Ok, so here we go. ” He sat down and looked away like he was watching a movie that only him could see. I was waiting for him to talk. I was very curious to hear his explanation. And a little afraid.

“You see Veronica, it all started six months ago when my twin brother got into a great deal of trouble. I’ll spare you all the details, but let’s just say that he was involved in something illegal with two other guys.”

“The police caught them red-handed, and my brother was the only one that got away.” Dave continued. “Unfortunately, one of the officers clearly saw his face while trying to catch him. The problem is that they think I did it.”

“But I don’t understand. What did your brother say about this?” I asked. I didn’t know if he was telling the truth or not, but something inside myself made me believe him.

“My brother is dead,” Dave said, looking away. He looked so sad and vulnerable.

“I am so sorry, Dave,” I said to him, with tears in my eyes. “But how?”

Dave got up and went to the window, looking so yummy standing there naked. It didn’t seem to bother him at all. “One of the guys who were with him killed him for his share. I saw everything.”

I went to him and put my arms around his waist and laid my head on his back. “Please, continue,” I whispered. Dave turned around and looked me in the eyes.

“You know Veronica, I don’t know why I’m telling all of this. After all, I just met you yesterday. One thing I know for sure, once I tell you the whole story, there’s no turning back. You’re in. All the way. Are you absolutely sure that you want to get involved in this?”

“I’m sure.” I heard myself say. “I trust you, Dave. I don’t know why, but I trust you.” Little did I know that I was about to embark on the most bizarre adventure of my life.

To be continued…
