Well, it took me a while to realize it, but I seriously need a break from blogging. Not permanently, but for two or three weeks. I have been thinking about this for a while now, and it suddenly hit me yesterday. I can’t write posts anymore until I recover the love of blogging.
How long is this bugging me
Maybe some of you have noticed that lately, I have problems keeping up with my schedule of one post per week. For some time now, I write every 10 days or so and I even skipped my weekly post a couple of times.
I am more tired than usual, and I often find myself laying on the couch watching T.V. while thinking that I should write articles, but too tired to do anything. Inspiration is failing me, and it almost became a chore to write. I don’t want to give it up, but I want to get the thrill of writing back.
What I want to get back by taking a break
I want to be excited again by the process of writing my next post. The thrill of finding the right picture and doing the research for my next post’s subject. I have been blogging for almost 4 years, and I think it’s time that I distance myself from the many obligations that require blogging each week. At least for a little while.
Don’t worry, I won’t forget you!
Don’t worry, I won’t forget you! I’ll still be sharing my old posts and other people’s articles, writing my contributor posts, as well as writing comments on your posts, but I want to be free from the commitment of writing each week like clockwork.
I want to resource myself so I can come back ready and eager to write each week like before. I don’t want to give it up, and I know that a little break will do me a world of good. This is a very much needed break.
